need Marlin 1895 help

Post by DarryH »

At work now. Gent has a Marlin 1895 in 45/70 hear. THe shells are not loading. I can see the carrier is not rising high enough for the shell to enter the chamber. What is the likely fix?? And...yes...it is an Ilion, IL gun!! Thanks

Is it possible that the screw upon which the lever pivots is loose or has been replaced with one that does not have the proper shoulder?
