An Ugly Gun Campaign
I know this is a Levergun website ... but since there are no ugly leverguns I have confined my campaign to handguns.

Re: An Ugly Gun Campaign
I have that last one. Much more pitting on the left side. Perfect bore.
Kind regards,

Re: An Ugly Gun Campaign
I have a 1982 Colt Combat Commander that's been thru several duty cycles... 1st where I could only wear it off duty or undercover, then when made Investigator I could wear it... After the move to TX and working the street I was allowed it as a duty gun. It saw a lot of hard holster wear, plus at one time it had to sneak into an UC operation in an ice chest... broken down into frame & slide in plastic baggies... Don't do that to a blued gun! The bluing took a beatin' and while the gun kept on a tickin', it certainly looked the worse for it! Having quit the enforcement business some 18 years ago, I decided that it deserved refinishing. HAd it done by a local smith and it turned out wonderfully! But, it's back in the holster again as my EDC. Trust me, it won't see the inside of another plastic baggie and ice chest again!
Before: After: It also now wears sights that can be seen by this 70+ shooter.

Nice to see some real "users" here. Jim, that Model 10 is timeless, and so is that Star PD.
Re: An Ugly Gun Campaign
Years ago, PillHer bought me a Heritage .22 lr revolver. It has been used a little. It is ugly, but the fact that my Wife realized that I didn't have a .22 lr revolver and bought me one makes that pistol one that I will never get rid of.

I agree! And frankly there are lots of guns much uglier than the Heritage.

Re: An Ugly Gun Campaign
About as ugly as it gets, but it's fun to shoot. The 7.62x38r isn't a bad little cartridge, but it's definitely funky.
The Soviets had so many of these in storage, they turned a few into their version of a "Match" pistol. Not a bad shooter and I've knocked off a couple of woodchucks with it.

My Lord, yeah, that one qualifies for ugly for sure. I think a High Point might be prettier!
