Took a break and got out to the range before the weather changed, yet again.
The Nagant sporter is a keeper for sure!
Target on the left is Remington 405 JSPs from a box my dad gave me. The right target is 405 Gr. Cast Performance w/ 42 grains of Varget. That combination as consistently been very accurate in several .45-70s. I pulled a couple of rounds on that string. The trigger is a bit "spongy" for lack of a better description. Took a little getting used to. Timney makes a replacement trigger for the Mosins, so I'll probably replace it. Other than that, it's a shooter! Fun too! Flinging those big empty brass cases out of the action is a hoot!
The Bearcat followed me home yesterday and I think it's already my favorite .22 revolver. I didn't put it on paper, my hands were getting stiff and cold but I was hitting everything I aimed at. Even the 16" gong at 50 yards!
I've always wanted a Bearcat, but just never felt right in my hand. The little Shopkeeper though is just right.

The 7.62x54r is one of my favorite calibers. I have another fantastic shooting sporter, a Finn 39, that's one of the most accurate military rifles I own and a few others. The SVT-40 is a blast, and my absolute trophy is an 1895 Russian contract Winchester.
The .45-70, though, is my all time favorite and this one trips all of my oddball triggers.

Jason, that's some fine shooting. Tom builds a good rifle and you have one heck of a whitetail thumper right there.
Yes he does! I haven't had the .35 Rem Swede out yet. I put a scope on that one and want to spent a little more time sighting it in. the Nagant was all ready to go and I really wanted to blast something good this morning.
He's still working on the P-14, .303 target it rifle for me. I'm sure it will be a super shooter!
