a site that covers crossing state lines. Specifically Pennsylvania.
We've been taking semiautos with us to NW Penn for a long time and am curious about the legality of crossing from OH to PA. I had a nasty little confrontation with a wacko last fall. Not the first time, I've had far more reasons to be armed up there with the two legged creatures than four.
I know better than to take a little short cut through the corner of NY and I drive like an old lady, but I've been concerned more lately of getting pulled over with several firearms and ammunition.
Any info is appreciated. I've tried to research this on the internet, but not finding any reliable information.

The USCCA has some resources, and links on their website. Good liability insurance too.
From what I've read, LONG guns that are autoloaders are ok in all but those states (3 or 4) that ban 'assault weapons', but the AR-style 'pistols' might not be good to tempt fate with. Of course a good semiauto duck-hunting shotgun with a short deer-hunting barrel on it is a ton of firepower and pretty 'sporting' in appearance.
I'm planning going from Indiana to New Mexico sometime and have been researching the same topic. If I avoid Illinois I think I could actually take my AR-15 without trouble. New Mexico seems to allow non-concealed carry of handguns, but doesn't allow concealed carry for out-of-state licensees. Strange. So I'll just take a long gun I guess. Mostly just want something for if I stop at a motel or sleep in my car, or if TEOTWAWKI happened and I was facing a 1,300 mile walk home.

A disturbing thought, but never an impossibility.
I'd like to take my Benelli along this trip along with a couple of, not so evil looking lever actions. Never really thought much about it before, but with the ever changing laws regarding firearms, I thought I should be sure.
