ISO big extension spring in USA

Post by Tycer »

Gentlemen, I need to find a spring.
I don’t know where to go.
Extension style
14 1/2 inches inside hook to inside hook.
.70 inches wire diameter
4.38 inches coil OD
Katy Spring can make one for $6-800

It’s for my 1953 AC All-Crop. It’s the counterweight for the cutting/pickup header.

Thanks guys.
Thanks!
I found a used one. I think I’m going to have a new one made though. Harvest is months away. I spent about $3,000 a few years ago buying it and I’m probably going to end up with another $2,000 this year getting it setup for another few decades.
I love watching the farmers realize how useful this tool is
Kind regards,
Tycer

Wonder if your dead spring is made of 5160. If so, it's a mighty good choice for bladesmithing. 8)
