Sorry I don’t get the joke. The French have a long and proud military history. Longer than ours.
In WW II the government surrendered. But a lot of the military did not. They were there on D Day right along side the rest of the allies. And before that the citizens resisted the Germans help making the defeat of Germany possible.

Takes a lot of guts to ride head long into battle on a horse especially facing cannon fire shooting canister or round shot.One thing though the poor guy probably never felt a thing and didn’t t know what hit him

what would you say fellas, maybe a 4-5" cannon ball, a 12 pounder. 84000 grain projectile at 1200fps, 268,000ftlbs. Still no substitute for shot placement
