Winchester .44 Mag. 94 AE

Post by Retro Guy »

I went to a small gunshow today and ended buying a like-new Winchester 94AE, 16" barrel, large loop lever saddle ring carbine s/n 6,038,2XX for $475.00. I just got back from the range and it's a real sweatheart to shoot. 250 grain Keith type bullets were going into a 1-1/2" circle at 50 yards.

I really love this little rifle, however, my wife is ready to throttle me becasue she doesn't believe me when I say that I got a good deal. Will someone please comment that the price that I paid was not entirely out of line. Thanks.

$475 is a great deal on that rifle. The large loop, trapper models command a premium price.

Show your wife this: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewIt ... =103349660 Its a regular trapper and its already at $600 - those are bids - so it will sell for that or more.

But be ready, she'll suggest that you go ahead and cash it in....

WOW, you paid HOW much? :o
Tell yer wife that if you shoot 2000 rds a year for 10 years your gun only cost you about 2 1/2 cents a round to use.
Where else can ya have that much fun for less than a nickle.

I tried it once, it kinda worked.

I just paid $600 OTD for a regular 20" 94AE in .44M. I only WISH I could have gotten it for $475! :?

I have a 94 AE Trails End with a 20 inch barrel in 44 Mag. You dang sure won't get it for $475.00. It is a mighty fun shooting gun.
