Traded for the Marlin 39A made in 1948.

Post by rangerider7 »

I just could not stand it! It is in just too good of condition. It has been fired just 9 times! I'm in Plano babysitting the grandkids right now, but will post a photo when I get back Monday. P.S. I ended up putting 450.00 in it.

I'd say that's a hell of a buy. Nice old ones like that need a home where they're appreciated. I grew up shooting a 39 in the early 60s, serial number was "C195x" as I remember (could be mistaken). I think my dad said he had bought it in the early-to-mid 50s.
Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you somethin'. That ain't an optical illusion, it only LOOKS LIKE an optical illusion.

Excellent deal !!!

That's a certainly a far cry better than $600 :P

Can't wait to see the pics.
...and I don't think he even knows it...Walks around with a half-assed grin...If he feels fear, he don't show it. Just rides into hell and back again.

Like I said, $450.

You did real well. When/if you take the buttstock off you will see that there are 3 notches, on the inside of the top and bottom tang. You can adjust your trigger tension if needed.

Post some picture once you get it.

Congratulations!
