I took a couple of my old lever guns out to the woods today. I had a ball of course.
My 1895 SRC in 30/40 krag is very acurate , But it shoots way high. I will probably have to find a new taller front site blade, if i am going to hunt with it.
My 1892 octagon rifle is just a hoot ! I had some ultra whimpy black hills loads that shoot quite well , and I had no trouble staying inside about 4 inches off hand at 50 yards.
And my hand load with a 100 grain hornady HP over W-296 was great too !
I put a plastic coke bottle down over a twig and paced off 75 yards. And hit the bottle 4 out of 6 times.
I just picked up some 80 grain cast bullets to load in the old 1907 wintage winchester. They might be a bit lite for top accuracy but who knows ?
I really don't want to shoot a lot of jacketed bullets in it but a few once in a while should be ok.
My 44/40 SRC is great fun too. Acurate as hell. I will post more on her when i take pics...tj3006

Excellent. But you forgot the pics.
Buddy of mine has a 32-20 Stevens that is a joy to shoot. A rifle in that round is the top of my list after I get up the funds for my Sharps.

my 93 in 32-20 wcf is probably the most "fun" leveraction I own. I can understand exactly how you had such a good time...

tj3006,I know what you mean about that old '92. Mine is a 1917 24" round barrel rifle that I bought when I was 15, (1953). I think one of my best loads is the 85 grain Hornady XTP over some Unique.
Gamekeeper you would want to try this load for "ole Brer Fox" when you do get hold of one. It works wonders on Rottweilers, or so I have heard. The 32-20 is just a great round.

I have a Marlin 1894 in .32-20 and a Ruger Vaquero in .32-20/.32HRM.
I like it much better in the carbine, but then I haven't really done the load work for the revolver.
It can be fun at the range to fire some relatively hot .32-20 for that 4 5/8" pistol just to have folks on the range wonder what you're shooting. It's a wee bit LOUD>

My 92s like 4.8 Grns. Bullseye and a 115 grain LFN.
The 32-20 has to be my all time favorite cartridge.
