UPDATE ON PACO'S DAUGHTER 10/2/2020

Jennifer has been moved after five days in ICU to a room on the trauma recovery floor at North Memorial. She had finally stabilized enough for this move. She started working with the physical therapy team while still in ICU and this continues with more sessions since her move. She has a way to go to take the next step to move to the rehabilitation floor, mainly be strong enough to actively participate in three hours of therapy per day. The good news has been she has been able to raise her forearms during therapy and wiggle her toes. She was even able to raise on leg below the knee a bit in the afternoon during a session. This has been amazing since she could not move at all coming into the ICU. She has other hurtles to cross before moving to a longer rehabilitation center.

Jennifer is grateful, amazed and humbled for all the outpouring of love, care, prayers and support everyone has given. North Memorial Hospital and their doctors and staff have been very caring and amazing. Thank you all for your support and outreach through this difficult time for her.

May the progress continue. My landlord's grand daughter had a similar accident a couple of months back, had to have surgery to rebuild her face.
Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.
