Eons ago I was given some pretty good training on how to avoid getting stuck in things like riots. It was all the normal stuff like distancing and awareness. But the one thing that was stressed is "DO NOT STOP". That could be tough on the rioters, but you would come out okay. And the point was to come out okay.
