Oh my God !
Due to people bringing stuff to the shop that I can use . Namely shotgun components etc and selling them at cheap prices I’ve been stacking them in the floor and my loading room looks like a bomb went off . So a couple weeks ago I went to Wally World and bought two Plano plastic free standing shelf units . And I finally put them together yesterday and filled them both PDQ ! Looks like I still need two more !

Re: Oh my God !
Think this week I’m going to buy another safe . I’ve got three crammed full and still have about thirty laying out . Tractor Supply has some pretty decent looking Cannon 64 gun units on sale . One of those oughtta get me back about even again

Re: Oh my God !
In the past when I leave the country and pack the safe full any way I can and still take some to the shop and leave them in the vault . Figure with the addition of a 64 gun unit I atleast won’t need to take up space in the vault at the shop . As I sure don’t wanna leave them laying out when I’m away from home for over a week

I like the broom.......can I have it?........
It's very easy to see you are a hard core gun guy and whenever you come across "items of use" you grab it. As the years go by we amaze ourselves that we have as much....or more than a stocking gunshop.......othe people pick up on this and you get calls, "hey, you got any of this or that?"...........and it's not stuff that they can't buy, they just think they are gonna get a deal by pretending to be your pal as you never hear from these people the rest of the year, especially in times of peril such as......
Such as when I got hit by the tornado last year and 20 years of firewood was on my front yard laying in piles....NEVER heard a peep from anyone for two months (except 2 GOOD friends) until after it was all cleaned up then the calls started coming in......
About the same here....everyone is my pal when I'm giving stuff away.
I find it easier to make a once a year trip to the auction house and drop stuff off. Last week I boxed up 4 scales, 4 presses, 20 moulds, Six powder measures, all kinds of brass, 30 sets of dies, two 1895 Winchesters along with 3 Ruger Blackhawks and a Ruger 10-22 and it's only the tip of the iceberg.

Re: Oh my God !
We’ve sorta had this conversation before ! It’s along the same lines as someone that finds out you load and “just wants a few reloads that’ll shoot 1/2 MOA” out of their untouched blah blah blah . And they’re willing to pay for the components to load the let’s say 50 rounds . But they don’t understand needing to try different loads yadda yadda yadda . In the short version of they’re a true friend they know what it takes to get it worked out and realize generally three boxes of CoreLokts are the less expensive route . So I very rarely anymore get Joe Schmo’s asking me for this that or the other , now that’s not to say others I shoot with that load might ask to borrow something and that’s okay just replace what you borrowed !Sixgun Sr wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 4:19 pm I like the broom.......can I have it?........![]()

Re: Oh my God !
OK 6 Point...I'm with ya on the occasional friend who needs a favor. I just cast up 300 32-20 gas checked bullets for my buddy Gunny as nothing else shoots in his old Marlin......and I won't cast for no one...you know what it takes.
A couple of guys at the club who are hard core casters found out I had 600 pounds of Linotype and a 100 pounds of tin and they buddied up to me.........it was my own fault for running my mouth..........."hey, sell me some of that tin, I'll give ya $5 a pound for it as you probably got it for nothing." These guys drive $60,000 pick ups. I told them I could scrap it out for more than that and it ain't for sale.
Right now I probably have 15,000 cast bullets for various calibers that I no longer shoot or designs I've changed, but are unsized/lubed and instead of selling them for $10 a hundred I'll just remelt them.
People don't appreciate your hard work as they are more interested in dumping 5 g's on a trip to the Bahamas.---6

Keep moving stuff -- you might find Jimmy Hoffa or D.B.Cooper!
The most important aspect of this signature line is that you don't realize it doesn't say anything significant until you are just about done reading it & then it is too late to stop reading it....

Aye, 6-pt & 6gun, but nobody asks me for anything... cause I don't have nuttin'! Or what I have ain't worth nuttin'! I generally refuse when someone asks me to load for 'em, but... will willingly GIVE them ammo needed to complete a match, etc... took 300 rounds to fill my 45ACP ammo can back up today! Tomorrow, it's fill the 45 Colt can!

Re: Oh my God !
Purchased a 64 gun Cannon safe today ! Hopefully we can bring it home Wednesday . I’ve already got a space cleared for it between my largest and smallest saves . If I can get it loaded unloaded and slid in place I just might head to Wally World for a couple more sets of Plano plastic free standing shelves Wednesday also .

Got a bit farther along today with the third and fourth sets of shelves . I think one more set might be about right ! Need to straighten out my loading table and I should be about done !

Re: Oh my God !
I was just in my loading room surveying the tornado and after I get the area I moved all the excess powder from straightened I might not need the fifth set . I still need to move about 500 pounds of lead ingots from the shop out to my house . And hopefully we get the new safe in Saturday afternoon and I'll be just about done
