Home Defense Weapon - - - Archery-style...!
The ordinary version - https://youtu.be/k6zznk0BDd4
The double-barrel version - https://youtu.be/-2x4cpvywHg
I wonder what the ancient warriors would have thought of such a thing....

What would they think? Probably not much....We've all seen expert Long Bowmen accurately release a shot every second or two....Those longbows didn't have so many little things that could go wrong on them, either.

The genius of his design is it takes away all the years of training required to shoot accurately, that fast! Yes, experts can repeat what he does with their long bow or compound bow. But how many people can do it with little or no experience?

I've happened onto videos of this guys inventions off and on for a few years now. Even if you don't think that any of the stuff he comes up with is particularly useful or whatever, you have to respect the fact that he is constantly coming up with new stuff and improvements on his designs - and is super enthusiastic about what he is doing. I think he's great and my hat is off to him. I think the world would be a much better place if we had more people like this guy and less people who don't do anything themselves, but pick apart and criticize others. I'd be thrilled with myself if I came up with a way to make a compound bow into a repeater, i think that's ******* cool. I can't imagine ever really wanting to have one, but the fact that he made it work is awesome.

More on the topic from another 'archery history' guy...Jason Kingsley of the Modern History channel.
https://youtu.be/FZuOZ7Fqag8
He addresses another aspect - mounted archers, and practicality and speed versus what they were able to accomplish 'back in the day' with highly trained archers.
I agree with Blaine, in that it just might not have been adapted unless or until it passed military real-world testing, and falling off a horse with one and landing on it might put it in a different light - or not.
At least since it is an add-on, it would not necessarily be bad if 'fragile' in that the bow would still be usable without it.
It is always fun to imagine what would happen, say if one side back in the archery-war days would have had AR-15's (easy to see that outcome), or more interestingly, something more advanced but less dramatically, like 22 LR single-shot rifles. However in this case, the existing technology would have been up to the task, unlike imagining modern cartridge firearms existing in that era.
