Lyman 66A sight

Post by big bear »

Found a Lyman 66A sight. Box says for Winchester 66,67,92,94,53,54,71,64.Stroebel's book on old sights does not indicate it is good for the 71. Anyone know? Hate to go to the trouble of putting it on and finding after wasting ammo I can't get on target with it. If it won't work, I'll just put it on my 64. Thanks.

Big Bear, The 71 has a thicker receiver so the windage bar may be to short to get all the right windage you may need.
I have a Williams FP made for the 71 and its windage bar is longer than one on a FP 94/36.
you should be able to hold it up to the rifle and tell if it will work.
