Three years ago, he set a goal to "Climb all 48 4,000 Foot+ Mountains in NH before turning 30"
And he climbed #48 yesterday! One week before his 30th birthday!
He told me that to complete this task:
* He walked over 350 miles...
* He gained over 140,000 feet of elevation (just going up)
* He reached 48 summits on ~35 climbs (as some were two-fers!)
* And he lost over 30 pounds too
So we met him at the top to celebrate the completion of his quest:
He had also made up a special hiking shirt just for the occasion:
The views from the top of this 4,000 Footer were magnificent!
And of course we had to celebrate with a cold one!
But I'll admit my wife and I cheated -- this is how we got up and down!

Next up...
He plans to hike "The Terrifying 25" which are the most terrifying hiking trails in New Hampshire, and then he'll set his sights on the few 4,000+ Footers here in Maine.
Hey, at least I climbed up the stairs to the tram OK.................................
