Just watched this as well. Also caught that...
1 - it was never used in anger;
2 - which was good, because the life expectancy of the bore was only 120 shots - TOTAL!
Still, extremely COOL!

Yes, but they test fired it four times a year and sent the results of the tests to their adversaries.

They never had to use it, due to "deterrence through superior firepower...."
That complex would have been incredibly expensive to build, got a lot easier to build than one battleship thought it would have saved getting destroyed.
