OT: SHOOTISTS ! USFA's "On Sale" W/Free Xtra Cyl
For those who've been "thinking" about one, USFA is offering their .45 Colt SAA clone, in all barrel lengths with a free .45ACP extra cylinder for $875 while supplies last:

I think they are considered by most to be of slightly better quality - especially internally.
That's a great deal. And I don't have a true SAA - mine are all Rugers (also 100% US made) but they aren't true SAA designs...
Alas, I've been too busy with purchases and need to let things settle - sell some of my other off, etc. - probably too long to convert to one of these.

If any of you are interested in one of those SAAs, you might want to visit Gary Granger's Frontier Classic web site - http://www.frontierclassics.com/cartridge.php - where you can get the same gun for $845 including shipping. The deal on the USFA site adds a $30 shipping charge to the $875. Gary's a standup guy and works for USFA. He's great to do business with and I speak from personal experience.
I just bought a 4 3/4" from Gary and it's being delivered today; needless to say, I'm waiting rather impatiently for my FFL to give me a call.

BruceB, I think the $845 shipped is considerably less than the current price of Colt SAA .45 and besides, with the USFA SAA, you get properly sized cylinder throats.

Well Guys,
My wait ended late this afternoon when I went to pickup my new USFA SAA and I was not disappointed. This SAA is just as beautiful in person as the picture Hobie posted from the USFA web site. B/C gap between .002 & .003", properly sized cylinder throats, no endshake, locks up tight, perfect timing - the quality of this piece for the price paid is a bargain.
My bank account is getting scared as I'm already considering another one with a 7 1/2" barrel to make sure it doesn't get lonely.
