Well, me actually, but you too.
I've gifted myself a Remington 1911 R1 Enhanced with suppressor sights and am now faced with a new challenge-- Finding a decent holster that accommodates said sights without breaking the bank. So far my search has been less than optimal; picking a manufacturer at random and asking them about their product, only to receive a negative response. Instead of the random search i've been engaged in, I know the awesome folks here have encountered just this sort of problem before... and better yet likely solved it. So I'll ask-- Any recommendations for a holster that meets this unique mission?
I'd prefer OWB, but am open to suggestions. Since we're outside the waist band, some form of retention would be ideal. Hopefully a budget of $100 or less isn't blasphemy. Lessons learned from my last 1911 holster mean that a simple strip of leather with a waistband clip is out. I'm looking for comfort, probably pancake-ish. This aliengear caught my eye (for example) but they don't accommodate the sights. Hell, none of their products do according to the rep. Sad face is sad. As far as material goes, I'm open to suggestions.
Any suggestions or references you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I promise to return with pics
Happy Belated Thanksgiving!

I feel your pain....
I have a Streamlight on my Taurus PT-92 when it is in 'nightstand' mode, and would like to holster it for chores at night.
I wound up using a Lowe's hardware cordless drill holster...! Well it works.... "FBI cant" included at no extra charge... ...but it hangs way below belt-line, so sure wouldn't do for 'CCW'.

I've sourced a few. Bladetech and Hidden Hybrid Holsters seem to be the front runners. Will have to make a few calls.
