The local Cabela's had some optics on sale so I picked up new Bushnell for my Springfield. I've done this before but removing the stripper clip guide from the receiver and installing the part of the scope mount that replaces it took far more time, tools and damaged knuckles than I remember.
But now it's all together and it will go to the range with the 1885 to get sighted in. This week was far busier than expected but the boss is going to be off for a few days so it will be easier to take a long lunch and disappear for a couple hours.
Nice day for a picture though.
My little buddy was wondering what I was up to, but was more interested in sunning himself.

I don't remember this being such a pain.

I would suggest adding a cheek pad, to get your eye closer to the line of sight thru the scope.
