I just got my issue of the May "Rifle" and was pleased to see that it had an article by Brian Pearce on lever action varmint calibers. You need to actually HUNT with these calibers, as opposed to just SHOOTING. Fewer gadgets; more fun (he needs to pay more attention to the varminting ability of the Savage 99 and Win 88 tho, IMO). And his report on the new ammo for the .25-35 WCF in the field for antelope. About time! And an interesting article on the Win '73 by Mike Venturino; actual shooting experience is always interesting. And a commonsense discussion of rifling twist by John Barsness, who is a commonsense kind of guy, as well as an elegantly simple writer.
