Low-cost Inside-Pocket Concealed Carry of an Extra Mag

Post by Old No7 »

Here's an idea that might help some guys/gals here...

I've been using this successfully for inside-pocket concealed-carry of an extra mag, not only for my SIG P239 but also for my Kahr P9 Covert and even the smaller Kahr P380 mags.

This is a Size #2 Uncle Mike's Inside-Pocket Holster; I believe it's made for small 380 handguns. But I've found it fits really well inside my left front jeans pocket, and with its slightly padded construction, it is really comfortable AND it doesn't print at all.

For less than $10.00, it works really well for me.

But the only problem with buying it was the Orlando FL airport "security" made me check the carry-on bag this was packed in -- brand new, unopened in the package -- because it was "gun" related. (Surprised it even showed up on the bag scan... And yes, I'd much rather be safe while flying, but come on... Their attitudes around the word "gun" that day were horrible...) Anyway... :?

Tight groups.

Thanks for sharing that.

I'm getting a holster from http://leatherandstuff.net soon for my SIG P938, and this might go along with it well. I think the guy at this holster store also makes some neat magazine carriers, even for the smaller guns like those.

A couple holsters similar to what I ordered:

Looking forward to being able to carry the little SIG like it is meant to be carried - Condition One.

The magazine pouch you show might be just the ticket for a bit of extra 'insurance'.

I feel comfortable pocket carrying my 938 condition 1, in one of these. The safety is protected.

I know a whole lot about very little and nothing about a whole lot.

That is a really good idea. Thank you for the tip. I've been carrying my Seecamp 32acp in a DeSantis pocket holster that reminds me of your holster. Never gave it a thought to carry spare mags in one.

I like that.

I made a pocket carrier for two P3AT mags out of a piece of sample Kydex off ebay. 2mm/.080" thick like this:
