Not sure why the link won't work - maybe the umlaut confused it. Cut and Paste I guess...

That thing burns more powder in one shot than most handloaders use in a lifetime.

Like most government enterprises and/or equipment.

They burn the resources and taxpayers pay the bill and get regulated for over-consumption.

:?
Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Someone I know put together a mortar. Shoot tennis balls filled with BP. one Fourth of July about 10 pm we are standing around it getting ready to light it when we hear a voice from the darkness-'I wouldn't do that if I were you boys'
I knew that voice, Sargent on our local PD.
We all turned to him and said hello to him. We all knew each other.
After a few pleasantries he slipped back into the darkness.
He has retired now but now a buddy of mine is Chief.

Those Nazis must have come from Texas, where everything is bigger.

Here's my mortar that shoots soup cans full of cement. It knocks em out of sight and bury themselves pretty good when they hit the ground.----6

Yes I neglected to say yes we designed many explosive loads using tennis balls. Also used card board tubes that we would load with fire crackers, jumping jacks, and stars from stor bought fireworks.
A 12 ga she'll full of BP would throw a tennis ball out of sight except for the fuse smoke trail.
Here in NJ we were probably breaking many laws!
