Deer season

Post by hondo1892 »

Deer gun season starts here in Kentucky this Saturday. I went and checked the scope on my Marlin 336 and set the newly installed tang sight on my 90 year old Winchester 94. The Marlin in 30-30 was still shooting well and the Winchester shot well but... I don't remember any other gun doing this but the Winchester shoots jacketed bullets a tad to the left and cast boolits a tad to the right. All the rounds stayed in a 4-5" circle but jacketed to one side and cast to the other not enough to worry about for deer at the ranges I shoot though. I'm hoping that I can get a buck with my flinter this year though. It's been kind of rough these past few weeks with my breathing and I pray that Saturday I can get out. Been on breathing treatments for about six days now and they seem to be helping so far. Good luck to all that get out and hunt this year.
