But it was on sale! ( brief range report 11/7)

Post by 2ndovc »

Local shop was having a Pre- Coronation sale in the event that things go South on Tuesday.

Added a new 3rd Gen G17.

I know they're ugly but they always go Bang! The 19 has over 5,000 rounds through it with one FTE!
I carry the G26 almost every day but think I'll add one of the new single stack 9mms eventually.

I bought a G19 Friday and a G46 about three weeks ago. The 43 ,single stack 9mm now has a couple hundred rounds of mixed loads through it without any problems. Will get to shoot the 19 next week.

Yea, never thought I would admit it, but those new plastic things really eat up everything. I was given a Smith m&p last year and have since fired a thou of cast out of it....no failures of any kind.

The same could be said about the new generation AR's. Back in my day, they were junk guns that shot 4" groups at 100. Now I have 6 of them and they all do that at 500 meters...on a calm day with 69 gr. Sierras.

Keep going Jason...at the rate you are doing you should have about 300 guns by the first of the year. :D ----6

I did buy a Win 94, but... I WON a shotgun! Why buy when winning is so much less expensive!

I'll do my best Jack! :D
I have to finish paying off another M1A, bought a Loaded stainless to replace one I had.
After that the goal is to replace my custom Super Blackhawk. Really miss that one.

Stopped by the range on a beautiful Ohio morning.

Ran through about 100 rounds of Blazer, American Eagle and a pile of strays I had lying around. Most shooting was at 25 yds w/ one magazine at about 15 yds. I have a tendency to shoot to the left, it wasn't the pistol.

Threw the G26 in for kicks.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, that thing was beautiful. I seem to recall a picture you posted of it.
My old man has an old 3 screw Super that is screaming to have that done.

It sure was. Makes me sad that I don't have it anymore. But I'm still here on the right side of the grass so all I can do it start over. I'll probably start with a new one this time and kind of cross my fingers and hope it turns out as good. It will be in Mr. Bowen's hands at that point.

You can ALWAYS have another Blackhawk made up. You can't get another you. You won the most important contest.
