Nath , I had one that looked exactly like yours many years ago. I bought it mail order new for $29 US.
Mine was a 28 ga. Fun gun! I took it to the local Wednsday night trap shoot one time. It was a hit with everyone. Everyone there had to shoot it at least once.

A whippet cross x bedlington terrier. A miniature lurcher.
A rescue dog, I took her in at just over two years old about a year ago now. Still learning the ropes and considering the outdoors and guns frightened her at first, now she can't get enough!
Here is another photo of her taken about a month ago.
Nice gun. I'm sure you will get much good service from it.
Glad to see Jess doing well. She's a treasure.
There was a case of dog neglect recently in Tulsa, (our nearest big city) where the owner had almost a hundred "sight dogs" that were confiscated and given away. Most were Whippet/Bedlington crosses, or appeared to be. They were even waiving the adoption fees. I should have gotten one.

That's one nice lookin', good shootin' smokepole you got there Nath,
By comparison the Stevens 12 ga bolt action I just picked looks like it was cobbled together from bits of WW1 artillery....
Whatever you do always give 100%........... unless you are donating blood.
Looks like a gun that will provide a lot of enjoyable hunting times.

Nath, nice find. Artax is rather mysterious here in the States. I remember discussing some sort of Artax reproduction with the late Val Forgett some years ago.
