Those are too cool for school, Pitchy, great work.
Wife's grandfather ran a steam donkey in the timber , logging operations around Westwood and Chester, CA, long long ago, have a couple pictures of him next to the contraption. Would be hard for modern people to imagine what it took to get the logs out in those days.

Now THATS what I call a post of substance and creativity.
Ole Pitchy even has the logs on the flatbed car. This was so good I actually came out of the basement dungeon to show the better half.
Got the old truck there and the little man.
Your one of a kind Pitchy.
Thanks for taking the time to show us.--------6

There`s a old logging grade by me from around 1893 that we have walked and explored, here`s some pics of it and some of the stuff we`ve dug up which was ten inches underground.
Thanks Sixgun.
These are all pics of where the grade was.

came across the swamp behind Norma then across treasle lake.

Re: Steam train and sawmill.
Pitch, I have one of those little steam engines and the parts to build a simple logging loco. Just need to get her done. With six inches of rain expected the next few days, who knows! Nice work!
Re: Steam train and sawmill.
Like I`ve always said, just go to the shop and don`t come out until its done.
