Won a Gun
This makes like 10 guns I've won since 1972! Fulfilled my expectations, and finished in LAST place, shootin' 1851 Navies, a Henry (1860) and a clone of a Colt 1878 shotgun. Might not of been fast, but I had fun!
Oh, did I mention I won a gun? If you can't be good, be lucky!

Re: Won a Gun
Cool...!
Did that really be a prize for last place...???
If so, that's kinda cool (and no, I'm not an 'every kid gets a trophy guy, but there are some 'random' things like door prizes out there, plus it at least encourages folks to just come shoot and HAVE FUN...)

Good Job!
A trophy shotgun for last place ain't so bad.
Just remember... You're good enough. You're smart enough. And doggone it, people like you.

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

We'll, well, well....howda like dat! Gunclubs down there give out guns for prizes? The ones up here are too interested in making money. (Capitalists here in the N.E.) When we win a match we get these pins made in China.
Looks like a semi auto...lets hear about the details of the gun.-----6

And here I thought a pound of bacon and a dozen eggs was a great prize.

Re: Won a Gun
Nope, was "door prize"... Ain't ever won a gun for how I finished... except twice when they pulled a number from the bowl, and whoever finished in that place won the gun... a few years ago, I won a Taylor's Tactical 1991 for finishin' in 23rd place! Yeah, when folk hear my name called for winnin' a gun... a collective groan goes up!
Six, the main sponsor of the match is a gun retailer... Every hour during shooting hours he pulled a name from the list of entrants and gave a gun away. Had to be present to win. Several Ruger 10-22s, a few of these Hatsan Aimguard, a Remington bolt, a few Ruger American rifles and at least one 1873 rifle, probably a few others, as I didn't look over the merchandise!
