I'm right proud of you kids getting your hunting licenses. I got my Arkansaw Old Man license in 2003.

If I didn't have a couple semi new places to hunt that weren't mine I wouldn't buy a license . In Virginia if you hunt your own property no license required .

.

Upon application, my state gives residents here permanent hunting & fishing combination licenses, starting @ age 65, and the state saltwater license here has always been free - I have all of them, and just have to pay for deer tags (up to 8 per year) and (stocked) ring-necked pheasant stamp books (8 stamps per book, no limit except for daily limits).

Even if I don't hunt or fish for a given species, I always buy tags, etc. I know this money will go where it should, not that the greenies haven't tried to divert the funds more than once.

B...S..t , the state of Virginia used to use all monies generated from hunting and fishing license sales back into outdoor sporting activities . When that monkey Wilder became Governor they changed that and 90% of the funds generated were used for other things in the state . Now while I agree some of it should've been used not 90% , now the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries doesn't have enough money to adequately pay the conservation officers I.E. Game wardens .
