I've been on Winchester Collector and Rimfire Central for what seems going on a decade now. I don't comment much but I read every day.

castboolits.gunloads.com
There's enough reading on there to keep a bloke going for months.
Just the thread on Hi-Tek supercoat runs to 372 pages.
The lever action section has 6483 threads and over 92,000 posts.

That site and here are about the only sites I visit every day.

Rimfirecentral, 16 gauge society, shotgunworld and a UK site called Gunstar.
I'm often impressed with the great knowledge out there but boy are there some fruitcakes with weird opinions.
I find that Leverguns.com is by far the best for truthful help and friendly advice. 8)

Accurate Reloading, British Militaria Forums, The Muzzleloader Forum and Ifish.net, a Pacific Northwest-oriented hunting and fishing forum, among others.
I do occasionally drop in at the 16-gauge Society, Shotgun World, Double Guns and Nitro Express.

I stop in at castboolits now and then, and always wonder why I don't go there more often. I haven't cast in a ;long time, but really enjoy reading and learning about it, and the things people have done with their casting. John Korts posts about historical cartridge stuff is always good.

BushcraftUSA, American adventurist, small cabins, rimfirecentral now and then. P-F fairly regularly, M4C now and then, especially if wanting to know specifics about AR details or parts, and a couple other gun fora now and then. Sometimes I get worn out with some of the derp on some of the forums. Its hard to resist posting sometimes when goofy stuff is posted, but it just drains the life out of you to try to inject any sense into some discussions.

Isnt it amazing how many people post without reading the thread?

Interestingly I just dropped two. AR15 and THR.

AR15 is mostly populated by young and foulmouthed kids. THR has a few folks that I just don't want to deal with. I still drop by Levergunlovers from time to time to check in. But I'm down to just this one and RugerForum.

Maybe when I retire and have more time on my hands (yea like that's going to happen soon) I can spend more time on forums.

I don't post there a whole lot anymore, Bill - ever since the forum owner (Claude) chastised me for the line spacing format I used when posting there.

His place/his rules - but my choice of where/when to participate.

Pete, I find Claude to be pretty straightforward compared to the martinets I have encountered on some other forums. Thinking of Graybeard and Traditional Muzzleloader Hide. Lots of great info on Castboolits, but every once in a while I will absent-mindedly post something for sale there that I have posted somewhere else and someone rats me out for a rule violation and I get a nasty notice of 10 demerits and a warning that suspension comes next. I know that several forums have rules about "no posting items for sale on any other forums," which I find most irritating and senseless.

This is pretty much my only regular source, although Castboolits is a very good one. And I like Gunblast and Shooting With Hobie - good, informative sites that stay on the high road.

Calguns - is one I never view anymore due to many out of control and unregulated flaming attacks, including some made at me for being a retired LE officer. It's not as much about being thin-skinned as it is that I've "been there, taken that" for many years - don't need it now as a retiree. They used to get my financial support; but never again; not a nickel. Ironic, since they support gun rights in my beleagured state.

Over the years I have dropped out of reading many sites (including Marlin related ones) because of the crudeness or rudeness that so often shows up - don't feel I need that; abundant enough in everyday media.

Other sites have lost my viewership because they just don't have the variety and freshness that we have here.
