allen,
I love my Henry rimfire leverguns. I also love my two 92s: a Browning B92 .44 Magnum, and a EMF Rossi 92 .357 Magnum.
Now, I love the modern Henry company, but the Big Boy is not growing on me fast enough. The actions are supposed to be quite smooth, right out of the box, and Henry's customer service is A-#1++++++++. The Rossis may require some slicking-up, but they are lighter than the Big Boy, and cost less than a Big Boy. The Rossi is also much more of a traditional design, and not so flashy as the Big Boy is.
...so, I have chosen the 92, twice, and the Big Boy zero times. Both will do the job, but the Rossi/ 92 design, appeals to me more.

Some people like Heavy "Gold" Guns I guess...Hobie wrote:I couldn't wrap my head around that question this morning. Of those 2 I can't see why anyone would pick anything other than the 92.

As one of the many folks on this forum who has a Puma, that is where my vote goes. Nothing against Henry, but I like the Puma as I am not worried about getting it scratched. It is a meat gun for me.

The Henry is nice. I've had several here for work. It's basically a 336 marlin action but with the twin front loading mag tubes they are much more heavy particularly up front. Now that Rossi has got the bores correct for the 44mag guns, they are about 2/3rds the price, the 92 is about 30% stronger, and it has a better resale, I think the Rossi is the better deal.
