A good visit.... with shooting

Post by OldWin »

My son just finished up his boat duty, so he and his wife took leave and have been up this week for a visit. Weather has been great, had a great time.
Got out and burned some powder yesterday. No levers :( , but it was his picks. He did want to shoot my 2nd gen Colt SAA .357 though, so it was all good. He ran my old Springfield 1911 till it got pretty hot too.
Otherwise, it was just Glocks and an AR in 5.56 & .300BO.
"Oh bother", said Pooh, as he chambered another round.

Man... I wish for just one day like that...

Government office attracts the power-mad, yet it's people who just want to be left alone to live life on their own terms who are considered dangerous.

History teaches that it's a small window in which people can fight back before it is too dangerous to fight back.

Jay,
That's a fine boy you raised there. I enjoyed meeting him last year...yea...you too :D

Remember ......I'm counting on you to make it down again. I'm done in 29 days.....of which I only have to show up on 7 of those days....great being a Teamster. We will release a lot of lead----6

Thanks, my friend. We had a great time that day. Dont you worry, you ain't seen the last of me!
The Princess already said there will be time for a better visit next time.
My son's boat duty is done but he had had enough. He was on boarding teams and patroled the Bahamas on drug interdiction, so he was busy. When it wasn't that it was intercepting Cuban and Haitian floaters........he has seen it all.

Congrats on your retirement Six! If you're anything lile me, they will be as happy as you! :D
I've got 30 years in so I'm hoping they are sick enough of me to give me an early out.

A couple pics. In a Zodiac with a couple floaters. Cranking a Ma-Duece on a drug running boat.......least he coulda done was save those outboards for his hick old man!

Thanks guys. Yeah, it was a great visit. Should be easier now with him back on shore.

Never be enough though.......

Cool pics Jay! One question though.....why did the CG take the drug runners on board before they blew the little boat out of the water?

The old Ma Duece.......a hundred years later they can't improve on it.----6

Trust me, my friends, most on the boat would rather fix the whole problem with the .50. :D
