The 22nd annual Memorial Weekend Wyoming Weapons Collectors Gun Show had... more Leverguns than Black Guns or Bolts. (More handguns than everything, but RACKS of Levers... from OMG OEM NOS to Truck Levers...

I'm not buying right now (though I brought a $1200 appraised trade piece just in case) but did come away with some goodies.

8lb of W296 for a flat $165 (most everywhere it's that plus shipping or more) and a new signed/personalized hardbound copy of David Royal's "A Collector's Guide to the Savage 99 Rifle - and its predecessors the Model 1895 and 1899"

Had a nice chat with Mr. Royal about 99s and Murray's work. Unlike Murray, this is a gorgeous full color glossy and relied heavily on the help of Savage corp/John Callahan (Forward by Ronald Coburn, who helped him get access to the earliest available prototypes) the Buffalo Bill Cody Firearms Museum (allowing him to take photos), etc.

If you like Savages, this is a "gotta have" book.

There were 3 or 4 nice Marlin 39A's, priced from $650.00 up.
