Back in the US of A
My daughters and I arrived back in the States Sunday night. It has been a crazy couple of weeks with a lot of stress and long trips. We flew from Johannesburg to Pemba and spent 3 days going through stuff, distributing what we could, leaving things for others and bringing home a few cherished possessions.
We left Twyla's remains in Mozambique. She loved it there. It was her home. When we returned in March she was so happy to be back.
Both of us had worked toward the goal of making ourselves useless .. in that we would not be needed for the programs to continue. I am happy to say that both the Goat project and Twyla's Computer Classes are continuing under Mozambican leadership. The people we worked with had been running them for some time. We just added some new ideas and challenges from time to time. We will still be sending funds to help keep things going, but that was to be expected.
Thank you all so much for your prayers .. your kind thoughts .. words of encouragement .. and the support financially. As soon as I have an accounting I will be sending out a newsletter about it all. It appears that all medical expenses have been completely covered as well as other incidental bills connected with her passing. That is so amazing!! I cannot thank you all enough.
I am planning on going to the Shootists Holiday next month. There will be a memorial honoring Twyla and I just want to spend some time away from phones .. away from the internet .. shoot my sixguns and rest.
Bless you all
Jim

Glad you're back and doing as well as expected.

Welcome home Jim. Having returned from some unpleasant places the air always seems better here.
