Somewhere down in the valley...

the Cauca River valley, that is...

A sugar cane train, something most of you won't see on your local highways...

It was a wonderful aroma when they burnt the fields on Oahu.... 8)

Here in south Fla where they grow a lot of cane they only use single tractor trailers to move the product in from the fields. I pick up loads of finished product from the plant in Clewiston, Fl from time to time. I haven't figured out if the smell in the plant is good or not. Kind of a sweet sick smell, like wet cotton candy.

Much thanks for a mighty fine ride once again, Paul. And I used to feel sorry for the poor old truck driver pulling triples!

I haven't been out on my baby in several months, waiting for warm enough weather I can enjoy the experience. My new shoulder should let me reach the handlebars without the pain I was getting, so looking forward to my first ride since the operation. Looks like you've got the weather thing well taken care of there.

You're welcome, sir! Here's a video from later in the day... same valley, headed the opposite direction (towards home). The weather wasn't so fine!
