My Turn To Score....At Cabela's, Even....

Post by Blaine »

8lb jug of Red Dot. 8) 22 a pound before tax. Enough Cabela points to pay it entirely, plus six pieces of their fudge. :D :D I'd been wondering for awhile what to do with 2015s points....when I saw that, it didn't take too long to figger it out.....
BTW, The employees all say the Bass Pro "pelosi" was a rumor to drive up Bass Pro Stock....

How do you find out how many Cabelas points you have? I've been a club member, and bought 3-4 guns there, but never been told about points yet?

I see it when I look at my account online....It's not someplace on your bill? Also, they can tell you at the store, as well.....

The amount of points you have are listed on your monthly statement.

If you din't use your Cabela's Visa you don't get any points. I'm pretty much cashless now, if I buy a cup of coffee it goes on Cabela's plastic

Yup....every penny goes on it if possible. I've been getting 200-250 a year for a long time....I usually get ammo, or reloading stuff...everything else is kind of steep.....

What bill? What monthly statement? I have a Cabaelas card, but I've never used it. I try to be on a cash and carry basis for all purchases; guns or otherwise.

I pay my card balance several times a month....The card is free, and I never get charged interest, and I get 200 bucks + of cash off at Cabela's....

When I bought My 86/71 45-70 up at Dundee not only did I get a great price on selling a model 94 I had, but nearly $400.00 in points on the card. I was one Happy Guy that day. :) .

If you don't use it every year they cancel your points and you have to go to the service desk to reactivate them. Too big of a pain for me. I use my Amazon VISA for everything (including household bills) and earn 1 to 3 percent on money I was going to spend anyway.
I can buy the gun at Cabelas with my Amazon card and apply the cash to my bill or spend the points on Amazon (they deliver to the door in 1 to 2 days for free ....I'm always broke :D )

Not sure I'll EVER buy another gun at Cabelas, after my last venture! The three guns I purchased were fantastic bargains, but it took them over 2 hours to do the transaction, and they were antiques! No FFL or background check to run, so it should have wrapped up in 5-10 minutes! It was a very frustrating, and painful experience!

When all the Toy Shops were jacking up EBR, and ammo prices a few years ago, Cabela's didn't budge a cent. They rationed out what was available at the usual prices. They earned my loyalty. Maybe that's why the lines are so long, and they are so busy. Well worth it to me.

Good for you T3! :D That's a lot of reloading!!!

Wally-World here did the same. Their prices on .22 ammo have barely moved throughout the BHO years. Granted, they seldom have it, but when they do, it is reasonably priced. I know they get a bad rap, well-deserved, on a lot of things. But this impresses me.
