My Gun
Today I swung my front door wide open and placed my Remington 30.06 right in the doorway. I left 6 cartridges beside it, then left it alone and went about my business.
While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, the neighbor boy across the street mowed the yard, a girl walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the stop sign near the front of our house.
After about an hour, I checked on the gun. It was still sitting there, right where I had left it. It hadn't moved itself outside. It certainly hadn't killed anyone, even with the numerous opportunities it had been presented to do so.
In fact, it hadn't even loaded itself. Well you can imagine my surprise, with all the hype by the Left and the Media about how dangerous guns are and how they kill people.
Either the media is wrong or I'm in possession of the laziest gun in the world.
The United States is 3rd in Murders throughout the World. But if you take out Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC, and New Orleans, the United States is 4th from the bottom for Murders.
These 4 Cities also have the toughest Gun Control Laws in the United States.
ALL 4 are controlled by Democrats.
It would be absurd to draw any conclusions from this data - right?
Well, I'm off to check on my spoons. I hear they're making people fat.

Re: My Gun
Here in England guns are SO dangerous few people are allowed to have them and those that do, have to keep them locked up and away from any ammunition, I think the answer to this "dangerous gun" situation is to send all our guns to Switzerland for retraining, apparently nearly everyone there has a gun and even the ones belonging to the army, just don't kill anyone.
Perhaps all firearm manufacturing could be moved to Switzerland then only safe guns would be made.
Griff, I'm glad your 30.06 did not go berserk, do you keep it, by any chance near a Cuckoo clock

Re: My Gun
HaHa, well written! This is so appropriate right now in Canada.......we are facing more fanatic gun control measures from our new Liberal government. We already have enough, as you know.

Re: My Gun
since that gun is so lazy and since I've never had a 30.06, perhaps you should send it to me. I sometimes get lazy guns to do wild and amazing things when they are allowed out of the kennel...
thankful your gun didn't go berserk and start shooting up the dasies

Re: My Gun
Thanks Griff, would you mind if I use your post? I thought one of my guns escaped my safe (and it is one of dem russkie army rifles) and went on a killing spree, but I found it where I left it a couple days ago. Thank God we're all safe...

.
Yep...............
Guns kill people like
Spoons cause obesity,
Toilets cause poop,
Hearing aids cause deafness,
Canes cause instability problems,
and
Gun safes definitely lead to more gun purchases.....

You could take the piece to D.C., place it by the WH and Pray.

Are you sure your 30.06 wasn't neutered at an early age?
