LEVERGUNS FOR THE TEXAS HOG HUNT WITH RANCH DOG

Post by TedH »

Leaving tomorrow for the Hog Hunt with Ranch Dog that I won last fall in the Postal Match. Taking along the 336 ER and the trusty 1895G. The 356 will be shooting the 220 Speer bullet and the 45-70 will throw a 420 gr. cast slug at those piggies. The 629 will serve as my CCW on the trip down there and my sidearm while hunting. I expect some comments about those carrying handles atop the rifles  , but I feel more comfortable with them on a hunting gun.

Got a good friend for the last 20 years going along. Should be a good time.

Good set of irons. If you do any evening/night hunts- you'll be very happy to have the scopes...

Take lots of pics and report back after the hunt!

Good shootin.
