45/70 lymans can i get a scope or not

from ozygreg I have just bought a 1878.45/70 lymans sharpes to pick up 7th November 2015 in Australia , my question is can I put a malcom scope on it , can I get it taped and drill for a scope. and if so what type of mounts do I have to get . where I live there are not a lot of shops to get anything so I have to try and get it from the states . as know one here can tell me .

The short answer is "yes", a Malcom scope can be mounted on your repro Sharps.

The long answer starts with which length (long/short) Malcom you want, since the different lengths require different height bases - and go from there.

Besides a few different type adjustable rings, Malcom also makes a plethora of different bases & adaptors for both scope lengths.

The online discount scope/mounts dealer (SWFA) has two pages of items, through which you'll most likely need to sift through, to determine what you need to order.

Sure can....in addition to Pete's response, I can add that dovetail mounts are available. This scope (Montana Vintage Arms) hooked right up to my original 1885 Winchester with no alternations. They also sell the mounts ----6
