UPDATED Just when you think things are going your way....

Something comes along and throws a monkey wrench into the works. My wife had a good position managing a lawn care company, but she has been having health issues related to the accident she was in 2 years ago when the semi truck plowed into her on the highway. So her doctors are strongly recommending that she quit working altogether, which she has done as of 3 weeks ago. It was going to be interesting enough paying the mortgage on our new place, and the rest of the bills on my income alone, and now yesterday I found out that the company I work for has been sold and it's rumored that there are quite a few heads on the chopping block. Praying mine isn't one of them.

Well we had the first real meeting with the new owners. Seem to be great folks, and I'm not going anywhere. They have great plans and expectations for the business, and they are very positive this is going to be a great change for everybody. Well, except for the ones that were fired today, I guess. But honestly those that are gone, I've wondered how they had a job here for the last several months.
I'm excited about the future and everyone else seems to be too! Thanks for the thoughts and prayers!

Well, holy stuff.....Praying for you guys.....

(I hate lawyers, but you might inquire about opening a claim for Angel...clearly the damage was way more than they thought at first....)

Asking for prayers shows me your faith! I'll say a quick prayer...

FWIW, my wife had a similar situation about 10 years ago and is able to collect over $1,000 per month from Social Security (she prayed hard before she went into the SS office!)... :mrgreen:

OMG, Ted ! . :shock:

I hope your wife has a speedy recovery - and, maybe/also some gelt from the mother-trucker's insurance company, for pain/suffering.

I've found that even new folks taking over any business, except a small one, can recognize a good/loyal worker - so keep your nose to the grindstone, and I hope you'll be rewarded with continuing employment.
