I was poking around at Midway and saw this,

Not a huge bargain, but hey, 10 bucks is 10 bucks.

The 5Ds are on sale too for $30.00!

Heads up
Thanks for the heads up. I need to order one for the Marlin 1894 I just bought. They even have the Lyman on sale. My new Marlin is D&T'd on the side of the receiver. Now I just have to figure out which one I need. All their descriptions say D&T is required, but I am sure one of them is the right one. It appears to me that the $30 Williams is the same as the more expensive one they have listed?? Tom.
Re: Heads up
No, they are not the same. The FP has micrometer type adjustments, the cheaper one just has set screws. After having used both, I won't buy the cheap one again.HEAD0001 wrote:Thanks for the heads up. Tom, the side-mount peep sight(s) that fits the Winchester 94/Marlin 336 will also fit your M-1894 - like the Williams FP- 94/36, and Williams 5D- 94/36. The Lyman 66LA is the correct Lyman for your gun.
The Lyman & the FP are micrometer-type screw adjustable for W&E, costing more than the 5D, which has sliding adjustments secured by binding screws.
The Lyman's adjustments are via raised/rounded turret knobs that can be moved with either fingers or screwdriver, while the FP's are flush-head screws that need a screwdriver to adjust.
The micrometer adjustable types are worth the $$$ only if you must continually re-adjust your sights - as for certain types of short/long range competition shooting, widely varying loads, etc.
If you're a one-load-does-it-all type, then the set-it-and-forget-it Williams 5D (at half the $$$) is the sight for you.
Don't forget to order a rear sight dovetail slot filler blank ($7) at the same time.

You're bragging - and I'm jealous!TedH wrote:I only live about 5 miles from them, so I just go pick up my orders. Don't know about the shipping costs.Gihon wrote:It's may be a good price, but by the time you pay their overinflated shipping costs the deal is gone.

Oh, that would be very dangerous to the ol' wallet! How do you control yourself?
