Unertl Scope

Anyone using or have used a Unertl scope on a Winchester 1892 rifle?

Jim, as far as I know you may be the first person to ever use the words "Unertl" and "Winchester 1892" in the same sentence.

No disrespect intended there Jim....but your question struck me as odd as well.
That's OK though Pard....if a fella wants to know, he's gotta have the courage to ASK.

He may be the first to ask, but why not? If you want a scope, put a scope on it. I see no reason not to. How it can be done may be an issue but certainly a surmountable one.

No, but a few years ago, at a gunshow, I saw an 1892 with a 30" Stevens scope on it......dovetail mounts. The rifle was a 95% specimen and the price was 25......should have bought it.

So......if your going to put a scope with external adjustments on a decent 92, use dovetail mounts......you will not have to d & t.----6
