I love family traditions...

Post by Ysabel Kid »

One of ours is "pumpkin chopping" after halloween. It has been a tradition for years that the kids get to take the jack-o-lanterns we carved for halloween, pick one of my many swords, and get to chop a pumpkin! This year, with my back issues kicking up again, we almost missed the tradition. The cold weather really did a number on the pumpkins. However, we got out for a moment today and Y2K carried on the tradition. He choose a sword I picked up this year - a Cold Steel "Warrior Katana". It sliced through the pumpkin like it wasn't there!

Not bad Kid..It sure seems like that blade is mighty sharp as Y2K took an easy swipe.

Personally, I'd like to see what it could do to a raghead's head. :D ----6

Kid, I hope you're feeling better today than yesterday.

And do you sabre of the tops of your champagne bottles on New Years?

I use either a bowie, or my 1942 genuine made in the USSR Cossack Shasqa. And yes, the tarnish patterns on the blade tell me it has "experience."
