This one for my 12 year old grandson ..............

Post by bluesman423 »

My twelve year old grandson truly loves the outdoors ............... ignores the gaming systems and television in favor of hunting, fishing, camping, etc. This is something I encourage all I can.

Last year he borrowed his dad's 30-30 and, on his first day of season, actually killed TWO deer with his first shot fired. Yeah, I know.

I decided this year he needs his own rifle for whitetail so I am buying this one back from a former customer to give to him. It is a 94 angle eject that has had the barrel and mag tube shortened. The only addition will be an XS peep sight for the rear.

I think he will be very happy when he gets his new rifle and 100 rounds of 170 grain Remington ammo.

Nice rifle too but giving him 100 rounds? What's he going to do with 200 deer?

I don't think that is a worry .......... he missed a forkhorn last weekend with his bow at 20 yards broadside. Any swelled head he might have had is now back to normal size :)

You're welcome ........... my grandchildren and kids mean everything to me ........... and this one, my oldest grandson, would rather help me cut wood or build fence than stay inside on the computer or watching television. He recently gave up going to the Tulsa State Fair to go camping with me :) I am a very lucky man.

Congrats - It's very gratifying to see one's progeny develop into a level-headed young man, for sure.

I like the looks of that rifle, you did a great job on it.

From Grandad!

The rifles that I own that came from my Grandfathers ( a bolt man and a lever man) are my most prized possessions!
I would give anything I own to have been able to go hunting with them!
