You might try running that question by the folks at 3M........
I don't know much about Meerschaum except that it is a soft stone like soapstone and very porous. And the pipes can be very valuable. Good luck.

Perhaps a stainless steel hollow pipe can hold the two pieces together, and you can epoxy it that way..... (Think repairing hollow bamboo rods)

Two excellent solutions, thanks guys. - Brian

Superglue will work but only if there's no contamination. Like if the crack was there a while. Is it a really nice meers or is it one of the $50 "cheapies". This might be your chance to just buy a really nice one. Meerschaum is notorious for being unrepairable.

I'd suggest the "thick", not thin, Superglue. Hobby Shops, if you can find one, will have a good selection. Who knows, they might even have an open bottle and glue it for you if you brought it in.Tycer wrote:Superglue will work but only if there's no contamination. Like if the crack was there a while...
Good luck.
