Re: Not sure about these ...
Here's a question for ya...
Which bullet would you LIKE to be hit with?

Years ago I was in a gun shop showing an old H&R breaktop .38 S&W to the owner. A police officer who happened to be there scoffed at the "puny, worthless" round, and the shop owner said to him, "Step out back with me for a minute, Pete."
Officer Pete: "What for?"
Shop owner: "I want to see you laugh it off when I shoot you with it."
End of conversation.

This was discussed at length on another forum. The general consensus, and I agree with it, is that its a gimmick, not a serious round. It's also extremely expensive. It's only surpassed in gimmickry by the round that had strings in it.

I had a guy "poo-poo" my .36 caliber mdl 1851 once... I told him to ask Davis Tutt if HE thought it a weak, puny round.

Re: Not sure about these ...
Back in the late seventy's a co-worker of mine told of his experience with the so called wimpy 22 short. Yes, alcohol was involved... He played on a softball team that was mostly police officers. After the softball season wrapped up the group were celebrating on an overnight fishing trip. One of the officers had his back up NAA mini revolver in 22short along on the trip. My co-worker had been teasing him about his choice of this revolver for backup. Such a wimpy round shouldn't hurt a flea let alone a guy his size. He was a big guy. An offer was made for him to put on a bullet proof vest and take one round in the chest at 10 to 15 feet. Ya, he did... The resulting shot hit him squarely in his flexed right pectoral muscle, knocked the air out of him, and dropped him to his knees. He said it seemed like hours before he could breath normal and it scared the stuff out of the group watching. He had a bruise almost twice the size of his hand that wrapped his shoulder, pec, and upper arm, in purple. He had found a new respect for those little revolvers and the 22short. He also said he NEVER would want to experience anything like that again.
