RIP Charlton Heston
You will be missed, sir.
Rest in peace.
Rest in peace.
May he rest in peace, one of the very few Hollywood Greats that was left.
He WAS Moses to me when I was a kid. This is one of my favorite scenes of all time that he performed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VUR-OdR3egU
You will be missed. My Dad always called him Sterling Histon for some reason.

He has been one of my heroes ever since childhood. I had a very brief hand shake with him at the NRA convention in Charlotte back in 2000. I will miss him. God receive him in your loving hands.

I got to meet him once back in 1986 or 87....I worked with his cousin then.
A very quiet, reserved fellow away from the spot light. I did not have the nerve to ask but I think he was carrying a Colt Detective Special (or something similar) under his sport jacket.
I was enthralled with the 9mm revolution at the time so the revolver made no impression on me but I recalled the meeting at the local gun shop over coffee a few days later and all the 'old men' nodded approvingly.
