My neighbor has a 13 year old daughter who has decided going hog hunting is her dream. She is 13 and he doesn't really hunt. He approached me about booking a hunt with someone, guns, etc. She had never fired a gun before, until yesterday that is
We went out and she fired her first shots with a Henry lever action 22 with iron sights and did very well. She was a fast learner and had a good time. They are wanting to buy the Henry so she will probably become the new owner soon. She also shot her new Ruger American Compact 7-08 that will be her hog gun and did very well with it.
No one knows where the hog hunting idea or the drive to hunt came from, but hey, I'm willing to just play along. We are going to let her try to wear out the Henry over the summer and try some squirrel hunting in the fall. So there you have it lever fans. Another levergunner is born.

Girls seem to catch on pretty fast, my wife had never shot anything before she met me, and in 15 minutes she was hitting everything she aimed at with my 94/22.
When you have to shoot, shoot! Don't talk!
