loose magazine tube

I have a 336 RC made in 1950.the mag tube is loose. I can't figure it out. any ideas? thanks

I can not remember how it fit in a Marlin, how loose is loose?
My 94 is loose so it has no pressure point on the barrel.

If just a minute amopunt of play, I seldom worry, as long as appropriate screws & pins are where they're supposed to be an' snug. Not Goliath tight, just snug!

The back end of the tube in my 1894 Marlin CB is loose but it works and feeds so I think I will leave it alone. I tighten the fornt and it shoots fine.
