How is GANJIRO?

Post by 1886 »

Please excuse me but I have not been around too much lately. Last I read GANJIRO was experiencing some vocational turmoil in his life. Just wondering and hoping events are working themselves out nicely. 1886.

Hell, last I heard was running around Texas in Flip Flops shooting at stuff... 'course it wasn't long after and he was looking for better health insurance, but I'm sure it had nothing to do with the cactus needles or rattleshake bites...

I am here no worse for wear, thanks for asking. :D I'm presently a tad PO'd at my situation due to my standing up for what I thought was right. On my last day at the school the the Librarian Rick came up to me wished me well but also stated that he hopes I learned from this experiance to be quiet when I'm supposed to. I replied to him that I wouldn't change a thing if I was to do it all again, I won't tolerate dishonesty, lies, and unethical behavior especially not from my bosses. He was surprised at my reply and said "you know what, I admire that about you, you're the last state worker I know of with integrity". I was surprised by his response but thanked him for it. That was almost 2 weeks ago and here I am with no job, no health insurance, and needing another back surgery and I'm thinking about where my integrity has got me.

It is because of your integrity that I consider you a friend and trust you - that's why I sent you the e-mail with those offers.

Hang in there but don't be shy about reaching out to help.

It is your integrity that defines you. My father has, throughout his career, lost several jobs and many opportunities because he would not comprimise his integrity. Living for the eternal is all about your integrity.

When your situation settles and you can look back on this not from a panic, you will be glad for what you did. You didn't want to work with people who admittedly had no honor, I'm sure of it.

I took a pay cut (not the same thing, I know, but it was traumatic for me) to get out of a job where I despised the policies of the company and take a chance on one I didn't know how it would turn out.

It turned out very well for me.

Thanks for taking a courageous stand. I've offerfed prayer for you. You've had a traumatic time of it of late.
