STEVENS 425 IN 30 REMINGTON

Post by moodyholler »

Picked up a nice reblued Stevens in 30 Rem. Bright bore and tight action. Now for some brass. Anyone know of a source? I can turn rims from 30-30 and recut extractor groove. This a possibility as I have a lathe, but wondered if any of the group may have some brass for sale/trade? Pics soon. Later, moodyholler

Check around there was run of these a few years back. It's the parent cartridge of the 6.8 SPC , so they were tooled up to make some. I picked up a bag of 30 Rem to make 25 Rem . I have a few I haven't sized downed that I would part with you you can't find a source . I had to see that gun not being shot.

I've called around for some brass. All I could find was Superior shooters supply(715-394-4982) has 12 pieces for $5 plus $4 shipping. Not sure if you found any yet. Let me know if that works for you.

Fisherman's Corner in Duluth has it for $24 per 20 but he wont ship cuz he says he has to pay haz-mat fee on ammo.
30/30 Winchester: Not accurate enough fer varmints, barely adequate for small deer; BUT In a 10" to 14" barrelled pistol; is good for moose/elk to 200 yards; ground squirrels to 300 metres
